My Salvation Testimony

Every believer has a story of God’s amazing grace, and I am deeply grateful for what the Lord has done in my life.

On August 20, 1989, I received the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Savior during an evangelistic meeting at Grace Fundamental Baptist Church, Riverside, Busok, Bagumbayan, Sultan Kudarat. At that time, the church was faithfully pastored by Rev. Sunny Casabuena, whose ministry God used to proclaim the Gospel in our community.

That day, I heard the clear message of salvation through Jesus Christ. Convicted by the Holy Spirit, I recognized that I was a sinner in need of God’s grace. By faith, I trusted Jesus Christ alone as my Lord and Savior. From that moment, my life was changed forever. God forgave my sins, gave me the assurance of eternal life, and placed within my heart a desire to know Him and serve Him.

On September 9, 1989, I publicly testified of my faith by following the Lord in believer’s baptism by immersion. My baptism was an act of obedience and a public declaration that I belonged to Jesus Christ. It marked the beginning of my journey of discipleship and my commitment to follow Him wherever He would lead.

God’s Call to the Ministry

As I continued to grow in my faith, the Lord began preparing my heart for a life of Christian service.

During the summer of April 1990, I attended a Youth Camp at Kings College in Marbel, South Cotabato. Throughout the camp, the preaching of God’s Word deeply challenged my heart. The messages emphasized complete surrender to God’s will and the privilege of serving Christ with one’s whole life.

During one of those services, the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart in a very personal way. I became convinced that God was calling me into full-time Christian ministry. With prayer and a surrendered heart, I committed my life to follow His calling wherever He would lead.

That decision became a turning point in my life. It was not simply an emotional response to a camp message but a lifelong commitment to preach the Gospel and faithfully serve the Lord.

Preparing for the Ministry

After surrendering to God’s call, I enrolled at the Baptist Bible Institute of the Philippines (BBIP) in Marbel, Koronadal, South Cotabato, under the ministry of Fellowship Baptist Church, Koronadal City, South Cotabato.

My years at Bible college laid a strong biblical foundation for ministry. Through faithful instruction, practical ministry opportunities, and godly mentorship, I grew in my understanding of God’s Word and in my commitment to preach the Gospel faithfully. Those years prepared me for the work God had called me to accomplish.

God’s Faithfulness

Looking back over the years, I clearly see God’s faithful hand directing every step of my life—from my salvation, to my baptism, to His call into the ministry, and through every season of preparation and service.

By His grace, He has allowed me to serve as a pastor, Bible teacher, author, missionary, and Christian educator. He has opened doors to preach His Word, disciple believers, plant and strengthen churches, train Christian leaders, and produce biblical resources that point people to Jesus Christ.

I remain deeply grateful to the faithful servants of God whom He used in my life, especially Rev. Sunny Casabuena, whose ministry at Grace Fundamental Baptist Church became the place where I first heard and responded to the Gospel. God used his faithful preaching to help shape the beginning of my Christian journey.

My Commitment

By God’s grace, I remain committed to the calling He placed upon my life. My desire is to faithfully preach the Gospel, strengthen Bible-believing local churches, equip believers through biblical teaching, train pastors and Christian workers, and encourage future generations to serve Christ wholeheartedly.

If my testimony accomplishes anything, I pray that it will point people not to me, but to the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is still saving sinners, calling servants, and using ordinary people to accomplish His extraordinary work.
